Did you know that the fastest growing demographic in the UK workforce is menopausal women?
That's 3.5 million women aged over 50 who are currently in employment in companies like yours. And with 1 in 4 experiencing serious, debilitating symptoms that can last up to 15 years...
You need to know how the impact of menopause is affecting your business and its employees.
And what you can do about it.
/page
BUT HERE'S THE THING…
You don't want to learn about menopause from a place of “complex & clinical female intimacy”
(Because you're human and this stuff is uncomfortable.)
Even if you do go through "female-focused" training, that still doesn't give you what you need.
- It's female focused
- It takes place in a group setting
- It's deeply personal
- It's extremely uncomfortable to sit through due to its sensitive nature
- And the way it's run makes it pretty unnecessary for a manager unless you're actually going through the menopause
Because it's one thing to learn about the biology of menopause... but how does that knowledge translate to the workplace and your role as manager?
Answer: It doesn't.
I've interviewed dozens of managers about their needs and it's clear there is a disconnect between menopause training for women and menopause training for managers.
Why? Because they're two different things being managed as one.
And therein lies the problem.
As a people manager and the "go to person" for your teams, there's an expectation you'll have the answers in relation to menopause and the workplace...
But you don't have the answers. And that's why you're here.
The 12 Key Stats Every Great Manager Should Know When it Comes to Menopause at Work
- In the United Kingdom around 3.5 million women aged over 50 are currently in employment.
- 3 out of 4 women experience symptoms
- 1 in 4 experience serious symptoms
- A significant number will experience debilitating symptoms that can last up to 15 years
- While 1 in 3 of the workforce will soon be over 50
- And retirement ages are now at 68
- 8 out 10 menopausal women are in work
- Around 1 in 100 women experience the menopause before 40
- The fastest growing demographic in the uk workforce are menopausal women
- In the United States there are currently over 31 million working women within the menopausal age range
- 27 million women between the ages of 45 and 64, or 20% of the American workforce, experience menopause each year
- The U.S. retirement age is currently at 66
Thats a lot of women in a lot of workplaces, going through a lot of changes now and in the future. Bearing in mind menopause is a naturally ocurring phenomenon and its here to stay!

AND ANOTHER THING...
Menopause Doesn't Do "9 to 5"
The Women You Work with Are Likely Doing Everything They Can to Hide Their Symptoms
Women are very good at doing all they can to minimise their symptoms and take care of themselves.
Once they get to work though, menopause doesn't take a break or conveniently switch off to meet contractual obligations.
And if there's nothing in place to support these women when they get to work...
They're unfairly forced to park their progress at the door.
This is how and why things begin to go wrong, often impacting several areas of the business inlcuding its people.
So Now Would Be a Very Good Time to Ask Yourself These Simple Questions
- Do you really know how your company and your people are being affected by menopause?
- Are you keen to retain your talent pool and reduce absenteeism?
- Are you concerned about protecting your reputation along with your bottom line?
- Do you know where you stand on menopause and the law?
- Do you know how to create a menopause policy that's specific to your workplace & gets the best out of your workforce?
Answered "no" or "not sure" to any of those questions?
Keep reading because there's a "one and done" solution waiting for you right here on this page.

For many working women menopause is an inconvenient nightmare, especially for those who feel managers are not supporting them during the transition.

I’ve interviewed dozens of managers, who've shared with me the challenges around their lack, or dread of menopause training and because I have that inside information my mission is simple.
To give you a non - intimate, working knowledge of menopause in relation to the workplace and the business.
My reason: Managers need and deserve this training, if they are to meet expectations and provide the right support, to the right people, in the right context, at the right time.

(This is not possible on our platform and its illegal to try). See Terms of Use. Great news though, multiple user licenses are available. ( see our pricing options below )
How do I know my staff won't skip modules?
The course is linear with a progress assessment at the end of each module. Users cannot progress to the next module without completing the previous one. Giving you the assurance the course has been completed prior to certification.
I manage a mostly male team. Do I need this?
Yes. Men are often adversely affected by menopause either in their personal lives, professionally or both. Without including men in menopause education and support we cannot expect them to benefit from or contribute to an improved menopause friendly workplace culture. If you’re in any doubt as to how men are affected and often deeply so, Module 1 lesson 3: An Interview with Paul is a real eye opener.
My staff are all under 40. Is this course for me?
Some women go through menopause in their 30’s. Having staff under 40 is not a reason to forgo the course. Younger managers, both male and female fared worst in our research when it came to understanding and managing menopause in the workplace. Here are some examples:
- My manger’s only young she thinks my hot flushes are funny.
- When I told my manager about my symptoms she said “uh how long will this go on?”
- My line manager’s a 32 year old male, there’s no way I can have this conversation with him”.
Add to this the number of male managers who repeatedly told us these two things:
- They don’t want to have difficult conversations with female staff about menopause.
- They deliberately avoid in - person, menopause training because sitting in a group discussing menopause makes them extremely uncomfortable which prevents them focusing on solutions.
I have a very young team, should I bother?
Yes. For a young member of staff whose mother is going through menopause and who up to now has been awarded mother of the year status, their world may implode for a time when they feel their home has turned into a war zone and they tearfully complain, “my mother behaves like a woman possessed ... nothing seems to get through to her anymore." She’s stopped caring for us and she hates my dad”.
Witnessing such severe and sudden changes at home can cause high anxiety in young people and often affects work place performance, particularly for new starters entering the world of work for the first time.
I sailed through the menopause. Why do I need this course?
Not everyone sails through menopause. 1 in 4 women don't. As a manager you'll want to be informed as to how menopause can impact the business and your teams. And be identified as that forward thinking leader who cares enough about their people to either undertake, or provide this training, thereby meeting needs and implementing subtle changes for the benefit of all concerned.
When do I get my certificate?
On completion of the course, in digital format, via email. You can then download, print or save your certificate. We'll also give you a digital media display badge that tells the world your'e a certified menocourse champion.
